Platform-independent libsrsfx.so from M7 (SRS was used by Gallery app to play audio from videos) was replaced by HTC and transformed to Boomsound (whch is basically another SRS preset).ĭifferent libs, but java frameworks are still using the same classes and effect numbers on M8, so SRS TruMedia from ICE CAVE will conflict with Boomsound. I just used Xposed to mod SonySE so it can apply effects to any app that uses stock Android MediaPlayer and have different EQ/ClearBass for each app. Starting from 4.4 Sony moved all audio stuff from first two libs to a platform-dependant libs, so porting them is not possible anymore. This mod and ICE CAVE use the same good old Sony SE from Android 4.3, it's the combination: libposteffectwrapper.so (ClearPhase, xLOUD) + libpreeffectwrapper.so (ClearAudio, EQ, VPT, etc) + semc_audioeffectif.jar (framework) + AudioEffectService.apk (service that uses framework) + SoundEnhancement.apk (app that only handles UI and stores settings). Regarding Sony Sound Enhancements the difference is really not big at all, you just have to make correct (and very simple) audio_nf edits (ICE CAVE replaces this file and it's from M7, so can break sound on any other device).
